Apply Early!
Students are assigned class registration numbers based on the date their application package arrives in the School Office. Students will register in numerical order. Applying early and receiving a low registration number increases the chance of getting into desired classes. Many ADF programs fill to capacity and have a waiting list.

Instructions
A complete application consists of:

1. Application form

2. Résumé of your training and educational and professional experience

3. Application fee: Applicants must send a non-refundable application fee of $35. This fee is not credited toward tuition.

4. Two evaluation forms (included with the application form in step 1). All SWS and FWS applicants must submit evaluation forms completed by two dance instructors.

Foreign applicants are strongly encouraged to send their application as early as possible. If you live in a country where the mail is not reliable, please supply as many ways as possible for us to contact you (phone and fax numbers, e-mail address, address for special delivery, etc.).

Acceptance and Deadlines

SWS—Acceptance packets will be mailed weekly, beginning February 15. Early acceptance is to your advantage.

FWS—Acceptance packets will be mailed weekly, beginning February 15. Applications received after April 11 will be considered if space is available.

Dance Professionals Workshop—Acceptance packets will be mailed weekly, beginning March 7. Those received after May 15 will be considered if space is available.

Payment and Refund Policy/Fees for Six Week School/Four Week School for Young Dancers

1. Upon acceptance to the ADF, you will receive a statement of charges.

2. Within 21 days of this acceptance, a non-refundable $300 tuition deposit is due.

3. Upon receipt of the $300 tuition deposit, students will be billed for all remaining charges.
Those charges must be paid in full and postmarked no later than April 25, 2008.

4. Payment after April 25, 2008, requires special arrangements with ADF’s School and Finance offices.

Refund Policies (please read carefully)

Withdrawal—All paid tuition (less deposit), dorm room fees and food account fees will be refunded in full only if written notice of withdrawal is received by the following dates:

SWS May 9, 2008
FWS May 26, 2008
DPW May 16, 2008

Tuition is not refundable after these dates for any reason, including illness or injury.
After these dates and before the respective programs begin, dorm room fees and Flex account fees will be refunded less a $25 administrative fee.

Deposits & Flex Accounts
Money remaining in accounts for deposits and unused portions of Flex accounts will be refunded by December 2008, after the ADF receives final billing from Duke University.

Dance Professionals Workshop Fees Participants will be billed for fees when they are notified of acceptance. All fees must be paid by the date listed on the bill; failure to do so will result in placement on a waiting list.
