Online Video Blog

Other arts festivals and organizations would do well to follow ADF into the world of video blogs – if only to keep connected to the greater artistic community, wherever it may be.

Winston-Salem Journal

The ADF’s inaugural online daily video blog, May we have this CyberDance? became an often-viewed hotbed of information about all things ADF. Curated by choreographer Mark Dendy, May we have this CyberDance? highlighted the diversity of events taking place during the Festival via daily online coverage of classes, rehearsals, and performances, as well as interviews with artists, students, and community members on various dance-related topics. Complete with over 80 daily blog posts, sometimes several new posts per day, blog categories included Archives, Around Town, Audience Response, Behind the Scenes, Dance of the Day, Interviews, Performance Previews, and Special Events. May we have this CyberDance? will continue to reside on the ADF’s website throughout the year.

Social Media

ADF joined the social media revolution in 2009. An institutional Facebook page was created early in the year to complement the already existing ADF School Facebook group. In addition, the ADF began tweeting once the 2009 season began. Both avenues have enabled the Festival to reach a broader audience and communicate in new and exciting ways.
