Tuition includes all classes, workshops, open rehearsals, panels, and two performance tickets. All students are responsible for their own travel to and from NYC and room/board.
HOW TO APPLY
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE
1. Fill out an application online.
2. Submit the $200 deposit online or via mail. The deposit will be applied towards the full tuition amount of $805.
The intensive is filled on a first come, first served basis. Students are enrolled based on the date the $200 tuition deposit is received along with a complete application. Applications without the $200 deposit will not be considered until the deposit has been received.
The Intensive has a minimum of one group with a minimum of 20 students. Once enrollment for that group has reached capacity, applicants will be placed on a wait-list and admitted if a current student drops out. Additional groups will be created if enough students are placed on the wait-list to generate another group. If you submit a deposit and ADF is unable to offer you a spot in the Intensive, your deposit will be returned.

Tuition payments may be made by the following:
- All major credit cards (online or over the phone)
- Personal check made out to the American Dance Festival. Personal checks will not be accepted after December 4, 2017.
- Money order made out to the American Dance Festival.
- Bank check or certified check made out to the American Dance Festival.
A non-refundable tuition deposit of $200 is required with your application. Space will not be reserved for you until the deposit has been received. The deposit will be applied towards the full tuition amount. In the event that ADF is unable to offer you a spot in the Intensive, your deposit will be refunded.
The remaining tuition balance must be received no later than December 4, 2017.
In the event of withdrawal, ADF must receive written notice on or before December 4, 2017 in order to refund tuition less the non-refundable tuition deposit of $200. The $20 application fee is non-refundable.
No refunds will be made after December 4, 2017, for any reason, including the unlikely event the studio would be closed due to inclement weather, medical reasons, inability to obtain health insurance, or other unforeseen calamities.
ADF requires a minimum enrollment of 20 students for the Winter Intensives. Students traveling from out of town are advised to wait to book travel until this enrollment minimum is reached. ADF takes no responsibility for student’s air travel and housing fees if the program is canceled. Please call the ADF office at 919-684-6402 for enrollment updates prior to purchasing flights or hotel rooms.
Apply for a new scholarship for this year’s ADF Winter Intensive. The scholarship takes $200 off the tuition cost for 10 emerging professionals. Qualified applicants are aged 25 and up and can demonstrate consistent experience in the professional dance field (creating, performing, teaching).
Please submit a one-page resume of relevant artistic experience, a one-page letter of intent that tells us what kinds of questions and ideas you are exploring currently and how this experience could help you at this stage in your career. And finally, please submit a copy of your or your parents’ 2016 Tax Form 1040 (first page only).
