The International Choreographers
Commissioning Program (ICCP) brings choreographers from around the world
to the ADF each year to create a new work on ADF dancers during a six-week
residency. The ICCP participants are given the opportunity to audition
ADF dancers during opening weekend and provided a regularly scheduled
rehearsal period in which to set the work on the dancers they chose for
their pieces. The participants may collaborate and consult with ADF’s
lighting and costume designers, musicians and technical crew. As a culmination
of the residency, the international choreographers premiere their new
works on a shared program as part of the ADF’s performance season.
While in residence, participants can take a full range of classes and
attend performances as well as interact with the other artists in residence
from around the world.
