Screendance Visitor Information

ADF is held for six and a half weeks each summer at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.  The administrative offices, studios, and student dormitories are spread across the Georgian-style campus. Performances by visiting dance companies from around the world take place in Page Auditorium and Reynolds Industries Theater on Duke's West Campus.

TRAVEL INFORMATION

AIR TRAVEL Air Canada, AirTran, American Airlines & American Eagle, America West, Continental, Delta, ExpressJet, JetBlue, Midwest Connect, Northwest, Southwest, United Express, and US Airways all service the Raleigh-Durham Airport. The airport is located approximately 20 minutes from Duke's East Campus. Flights should be booked to the Raleigh-Durham Airport (RDU).

TRAIN TRAVEL Amtrak serves this area through Raleigh with connections in Durham.

BUS TRAVEL Greyhound Bus Lines operates service to the Durham bus station, which is only four blocks away from Duke's East Campus.

HOTEL INFORMATION

The Durham Hilton Hotel is our official host hotel. The hotel is located in a quiet setting convenient to shopping and downtown Durham, NC.  A special rate of $69/night plus tax is available for all Screendance participants who make their reservations by June 27, 2008.

MISCELLANEOUS SERVICES

The Duke University campus is within walking distance of various shops, restaurants, and grocery stores.  Visit the Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau for more information about local restaurants.

The ADF will provide limited transportation to and from conference events.  Other local transportation will not be provided.  If you wish to rent a car in the area,  Thrifty Car Rental of Raleigh/Durham is our official car rental agency.  Please visit their website at www.thrifty.com.
