Allie Pfeffer (she/her) loves bodies and enjoys making many things. Primarily a movement and performance artist, she received her BFA with honors in Dance from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2011. Just before returning to North Carolina in 2014, she picked up embroidery to give her hands something to do between arts administration jobs. That hobby quickly developed into making clothes and eventually into designing her own patterns. For the past few yers she has operated a handmade, gender free clothier in Durham, NC where she creates custom clothes from scratch. Bodies have always held a particular fascination for Allie, and both her dancing and designing reflect a deep appreciation for the experience of being in a body and a hungry curiosity for what else bodies might be capable of.
