Nicole Thomas, affectionately nicknamed “Pinky,” embodies the roles of dancer, choreographer, educator, ethnographer, and cultural ambassador. With roots based in St. Louis, Pinky has immersed herself, since the age of 5, in a diverse array of techniques such as ballet, Dunham technique, jazz, tap, African, Hip-hop, and musical theater. With over 25 years of experience in education, Pinky’s fluency in multiple techniques encompasses historical lineage, grounding movement in its cultural context. Passionate about working and nurturing creative minds, she challenges artists to embrace all forms and aesthetics of movement and music, becoming diverse communicators.
