BIG BEATS by New York-based, “Bessie” award-winning choreographer and dancer, Joanna Kotze is coming to the Triangle!
Danced to a driving sonic rhythm, BIG BEATS is the force of 20 local performers doing complex, synchronized movement. This 15-minute piece will be performed on Thursday, November 3 at 6 pm and 7 pm inside the Nasher Museum of Art (Durham) and on Saturday, November 5 at 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm outdoors at the Village Green in Southern Village (Chapel Hill).
These free performances will be open to the public and viewed in the round. Each performance takes place in public areas and will be an invitation for viewers to stop and watch a group of people working together, dancing together, and being together.
