Anna and Leah returned to the studios to begin the creative process for “could be worse” in late February 2020, mere moments before the world shut down due to COVID-19. For the past three years, they have been creating a work that reflects their new reality’s bizarre and tumultuous nature to make sense of a chaotic, disrupted, and nonsensical time period.
