WV DANCE COMPANY BRINGS AN EVENING OF CONCERT DANCE TO ADF’S SAMUEL H. SCRIPPS STUDIOS
Founded in 1977, WV Dance Company has been serving public venues, schools, colleges, and universities with entertaining and thought-provoking performances and workshops through the language of dance. Recognized for both artistic achievement and excellence in arts education, WVDC has toured throughout West Virginia, as well as 14 other states, reaching tens of thousands of people each year. WV Dance Company’s current concert program for public venues has an evening that has something that people of all ages can enjoy together.
Artists, yes. Athletes, certainly. But even more so, we are explorers, examining the world with curiosity, enthusiasm, and compassion. We are humanists and scientists.
Through the art of movement, we will celebrate three beautiful works choreographed by Gerri Houlihan, our esteemed guest choreographer. Other repertory works to be performed are a solo by Donald Laney and a multigenerational piece by Dane Toney to the composition of Holden Akers-Toler, a master’s graduate of North Carolina Central University.
We hope you will join us for this special event! This is a FREE event, but we do ask that you make a reservation in advance. With thanks for your interest and support.
