Ann and Jim Goodnight Museum Park at the North Carolina Museum of Art (2110 Blue Ridge Rd, Raleigh, NC 27607). Enter museum at traffic light, intersection of Blue Ridge Road and Reedy Creek Road.
When you turn into the entrance of NCMA, take a left at the fork and follow signs to the Staff Parking Lot, past the P1 Parking Lot. You may park in the Staff Parking Lot beginning at 6pm. Overflow parking is available in the P1 Parking Lot if needed.
Please plan to arrive NO LATER THAN 6:30pm so we can check you in and you can walk to the starting location, approximately .25 of a mile.
Check-in will be located next to the Staff Parking Lot. You will see us when you pull in. Your name will be on a welcome list as well as your group information in case you forget your group number.
What to Expect
This is a walking experience. Please wear flat comfortable walking shoes.
The performance will begin and end at the Lowes Pavillion as indicated on the site map. The distance of the performance path is about .55 miles from start to finish. The walking route is mostly paved and flat but there are a few sections that have grass and are slightly uphill.
Performances at each location will last 5-8 minutes. There will be 5 minutes allotted to walk to each new location. The entire experience will last approximately 70 minutes. A docent will guide your group along the route.
A limited number of chairs and cushions will be available to sit in at each location. Please be respectful and make them available to those who really need to sit. Of course, you are also welcome to sit on the grass if you choose.
We highly encourage you to use the restroom before arrival. The nearest public restrooms are located at the outdoor amphitheater.
What to Bring
Consider bringing a water bottle.
