Courtney Liu has taught ballet in 20+ studios, universities, and community settings across the country for the past 20 years. She is thrilled to teach at ADF this summer. Courtney has performed with the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway (Assistant Dance Captain, Meg u/s, ballerina ensemble), the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake, Queen of the Night, Norwegian Cruise Lines (Assistant Director, Performer), the Cincinnati Ballet, and the Peridance Contemporary Dance Company. Courtney choreographs musicals and concert dance works and serves as an Assistant Professor of Music Theatre at Elon University. She earned her BA and MFA at Duke University, is an RYT-200 trained yoga instructor, and has completed the ABT Teacher Training in Levels Pre-Primary through Three, the Giordano Jazz Dance Teacher Training in Levels 1 & 2, and the Luigi Jazz Dance Teacher Training in Levels 1 and 2.
