This course, led by Adriane Fang and Stephanie Liapis, will focus on the creative process and practice of the dancer within the choreographic process. As a dancer, what is your voice within someone else’s choreographic vision? How are you bringing yourself to the process? We will take turns as maker and muse – investigating the texture of the process from each vantage point and developing the potential of each artists’ expressive range and abilities. We will also engage in discussion, pondering, gathering information, and much experimentation in order to deepen our understanding of our expressive potency.
