Poah West (they/she) is a multi-instrumental improv accompanist who primarily uses guitar, vocals, drums, and other electronic instruments. They have played for dance classes for the past eleven years, including serving as a full-time resident accompanist/composer for Texas Woman’s University for five years and for the American Dance Festival for seven summers. Currently, they work as an adjunct accompanist for Duke University and Meredith College. In the past four years, she has released five music albums ranging from solo instrumental song-spells to lo-fi beats, bedroom indie-rock, and even a Texas rock and roll band under the name West Oxking. She enjoys hot salsa, nice herbal teas, good anime, and a fun round of Fortnite.
