Choreographic Process: Deepening the Critical Eye with Momar Ndiaye/Jordan Lloyd

This class focuses on the creative process through the examining of different compositional elements such as time, space, sound, body, energy, and more. We will consider storytelling and abstraction and will invite the histories in our bodies to surface in our creations. Together we will create or recontextualize choreographic work in which participants will be expected to bring into contribution their artistic perspective. Through practice and discussion, students will be exposed to strategic choreographic choice making and understand how they correlate to choreographic intent. The first half of this class will be taught by Momar Ndiaye, and Jordan Demetrius Lloyd will lead the second half.
