As two of six co-curators of The Commons: Southern Futures hosted by Carolina Performing Arts, Anthony Otto Nelson, Jr. and Jasmine Powell have come together to present an excerpt of two new collaborative dance works.
This work invites the audience to step into currents of grief, joy, and memory through a procession of performances. The pieces will investigate our place in history and the spaces we occupy through a series of solos and ensemble work that celebrate diversity, individuality, and the magic that happens when these elements come together in a harmonious dance.
There will be a short discussion following the performance.
